Turkey yet to commit to defence bank

Turkey is still evaluating possible ​participation in Canada's Defence Security ‌and Resilience Bank (DSRB), defence ministry sources told Reuters ​when asked about ​Turkey's position on the initiative.

The ⁠sources also said ​Turkey had closely monitored ​and joined the negotiations in Montreal ahead of the DSRB's ​establishment, and was ​a party in the joint ‌declaration ⁠announcing the initiative on the sidelines of the NATO summit in ​Ankara this ​week.

On ⁠Friday, a Turkish source had said ​Turkey was not able ​to ⁠commit to the DSRB at this stage ⁠after ​consultations between ​the relevant Turkish authorities.
