The Central Bank of Sri Lanka purchased $ 96.3 million from the domestic foreign exchange market and sold $ 25.8 million throughout June, resulting in a net purchase of $ 70.8 million for the month.

The development follows May 2026, which marked the highest single-month dollar sale by the Central Bank since the start of the domestic economic crisis.
During May, the reserve bank recorded a net sale of $ 211.3 million, after selling $ 223.3 million and buying $ 12 million.
