MANCHESTER CITY superstar Erling Haaland discovered something hilarious when Googling his name.
Haaland, 25, has taken the World Cup by storm by leading Norway to the quarter-finals for the first time in the nation’s history and is now set to face England on Saturday for a place in the semi-finals.
The star striker is also the competition’s joint-second highest scorer alongside France superstar Kylian Mbappe with seven goals in four matches.
They are one behind leader Lionel Messi of Argentina.
The Norway talisman has also stood out in the tournament after he and his team-mates adopted an iconic celebration.
After all of their four victories at the World Cup, Stale Solbakken’s men sat in front of their travelling fans and rowed to the beat of a drum played by Haaland in true Viking style.
And the Man City star caught wind that Google has joined in on all the fan, which is now known as the Viking Row.
Haaland tweeted: “One thing to do today… Search my name on Google.”
The centre-forward’s 12.5million followers quickly discovered that upon Googling their favourite player’s name, a series of animated Vikings row in the middle of their screen.
Haaland’s fans were left in stitches as they stormed the comments’ section.
One follower tweeted: “My Goat.” Another commented: “The Viking Row!”
And a third wrote: “I love it!”
The Viking row has become so popular that Wayne Rooney even vowed to row down the River Mersey if Haaland and Co beat Brazil to get to the quarter-finals.
Haaland hit back: “I’m looking forward to seeing Wayne, Wayney boy. I’m looking forward to seeing Wayne Rooney rowing down in Liverpool.
“That’s all I want to see now. Wayne Rooney, I expect you to go out on a rowing trip.”
Haaland, 25, has scored in every game he’s played during the tournament so far, including striking twice to knock five time champions Brazil out.
Weighing in at 192lbs and at 6ft 5in in height, he has netted 62 times in just 54 caps, which is a better goal per game ratio than even Harry Kane can boast for his country.
If you think that makes Haaland a freak of nature, you’d be wrong.
The Manchester City footballer has been carefully sculpted and designed thanks to a rigorous daily regime unmatched by anyone else.
