54th Arogya mobile health clinic held successfully

The 54th program of the "Arogya" mobile health clinic series, conducted by the Ministry of Health and Media in line with the "Healthy Sri Lanka" initiative, took place at the Anamaduwa International Theravada Buddhist Center recently.

The Health Ministry stated that the clinic served the monks residing at the center and their caregivers, while a large number of local residents also participated to receive medical services. The mobile unit offered various screenings, including eye, dental, diabetes, and respiratory checks. Essential tests such as blood pressure, ECG, Body Mass Index (BMI), cholesterol, and blood sugar were provided free of charge.

Beyond western medical services, the program featured Ayurvedic medicine, mental health counseling, and nutritional advice. A volunteer team of specialists, doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff from the National Hospital of Colombo and surrounding government hospitals supported the clinic.
