A school student passed away in the Wewalpitiya, Kandy after the brakes of a car belonging to an international school owner failed.
Police report that two other students sustained injuries and are currently receiving hospital treatment.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the school owner's vehicle lost control unexpectedly before striking the students.
Authorities are conducting further inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the mechanical failure that led to this unfortunate event.
